Day-to-day of the role:- Maintain accurate financial records and statements.
- Perform daily bookkeeping tasks including recording transactions, managing bank feeds, and reconciling bank accounts.
- Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.
- Assist in the preparation of VAT returns and other tax-related documents.
- Liaise with clients to resolve queries or issues related to their accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
- Excellent ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
