WORKING 5 DAYS OUT OF 7 (ROTA PROVIDED)
START TIMES: 04:00 - 06:00
PAY RATE: £13.50 - £27.00 PER HOUR
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Croydon.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of 24 months of continuous driving experience.

Rates of Pay (PAYE):
- Basic: £13.50
- Overtime after 8 hours: £20.25
- Saturday: £20.25
- Sunday: £27.00
- Bank Holiday: £27.00
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a 7.5T Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
- Operate and drive various 7.5t vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills
As a 7.5T Driver you will need to:
- Must be able to work as a team
- Have a minimum of 24 months of continuous experience driving Category C1 vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Must be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
- Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence
- Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
- Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment.
- Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
- After successful Assessment, there will be an on-job training
