Carpenter

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and be proficient in the use of both hand and power tools. This role involves working on diverse projects, including roofing, masonry, and joinery, ensuring that all work is completed to high standards of quality and safety.

Duties

• Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications.
• Perform roofing tasks, ensuring proper installation and maintenance.
• Execute masonry work as required for various projects.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
• Ensure all work is plumb, level, and square as per project requirements.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including electricians and masons.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role is essential.
• Familiarity with various carpentry techniques including joinery.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools commonly used in carpentry.
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations is advantageous.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
