Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Deputy Manager to work full time based in a Children’s home in Croydon.

The salary for this permanent Deputy Manager  job is up to £60,000. 

Progression:

Deputy Manager - Progression to Registered Manager - Children's Residential. We have an exciting opportunity for an empathetic and proactive Deputy Manager who is looking to progress their career. This newly established 3 bed children’s Residential Home which specialises in EBD and mild learning disabilities is located in Croydon. We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager who would like to progress to a Registered Manager to take the lead on opening a new home next year! The ultimate responsibility of the position is to ensure excellent outcomes for the young people residing in the home whilst ensuring the highest standards of compliance in line with Ofsted regulation. 

Main Duties:

  • Lead and manage the children’s home, ensuring exceptional care and support for young individuals in residence
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and adherence to regulatory standards, including The Children’s Homes Regulations, Children Act, and company policies
  • Uphold and promote the wellbeing of the young residents while fostering a therapeutic environment to aid their recovery from adverse life experiences
  • Oversee the home's staff team, guiding and facilitating their growth and development
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and commissioners' specifications
  • Contribute actively to strategic planning and development within the organization, offering support to other service areas when necessary
  • Maintain optimal occupancy levels aligned with both business needs and the requirements of the young people in placement

Requirements of this job:

  • Essential qualification: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
  • Desirable qualification: Level 5 Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care
  • Ability to show leadership skills
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Direct involvement in Ofsted inspections
