Our client, a housing management organisation based in Croydon, London, is currently implementing the NEC Housing Management System. As part of this project, a Reporting and Business Intelligence Workstream has been established. Reporting from the system will be generated using a combination of in-built tools such as 'Advanced Search,' as well as Power BI for more complex reporting requirements.

To supplement their project team, our client is seeking a skilled Housing NEC Data Architect with expertise in the NEC Housing System database structure and Power BI reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of Power BI Reports and bridging the knowledge gap in the NEC database structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the NEC Housing System database structure, including tables, joins, fields, and views.
  • Provide business workflow knowledge of NEC Housing data, including backend table workflow.
  • Utilise strong SQL skills (Oracle version of SQL PL-SQL) and experience with tools such as SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
  • Manage databases effectively, troubleshooting and resolving data-related problems.
  • Apply knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals, including multidimensional database design.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Business Intelligence concepts.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing, preferably Azure, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with setting up/configuring NEC Dashboards and utilising Power BI reports is also desirable.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of SQL (Oracle version of SQL PL-SQL).

This is a temporary position for a period of 3 months. The daily rate for this role is 600. The office is conveniently located within walking distance of East Croydon train station (12 minutes) and George Street tram station (5 minutes).
