Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Dietetic and Catering teams to support patient dietary needs, including therapeutic diets.
- Manage stock and distribution of dietetic supplies, coordinating with material management and procurement teams.
- Provide training to nursing staff on nutritional screening, basic nutrition, and therapeutic diet options.
- Conduct patient education sessions on nutrition (after reaching competency), focusing on chronic disease management and weight reduction.
- Support the dietetic team in administrative duties, such as filing, booking meetings, and managing dietary resources.
- Maintain a small caseload, under supervision, to assess and manage basic nutritional support for patients.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or nutrition support role is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing dietary supplies and stock.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with healthcare professionals and providing patient education.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
