Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: South London
Salary: £37,000 - £50,000 per annum (DOE)

Are you a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in Revit and AutoCAD looking for an exciting new opportunity? Coulter Elite Resourcing is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading building services design consultancy based in South London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects across the industry.

Job Description:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for a variety of building services projects, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and plumbing
  • Produce detailed design drawings and specifications using Revit and AutoCAD software
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to deliver coordinated design solutions
  • Conduct site visits to assess the progress of projects and ensure designs are implemented accurately
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team, ensuring designs comply with industry standards and regulations
  • Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored design solutions
  • Assist in preparing and presenting design proposals, reports, and calculations to clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure all designs are completed within the agreed budget and timelines
  • Continuously seek out opportunities for design improvements and innovations in line with the latest industry trends

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer within the building services industry
  • Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD with a strong understanding of building services design principles
  • Excellent technical knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing
  • Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on building services projects
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and concepts clearly to clients and team members
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, able to address challenges as they arise
  • Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline
