Tradewind Recruitment is looking to appoint a KS1 Class Teacher for a progressive and inclusive 2-form entry primary school in Croydon. This exciting full-time role is to teach a Year 1 class for the remainder of the academic year, starting in October 2024. As the role starts early in the term, the position will include planning responsibilities and active participation in the school's development.
About the Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging and creative KS1 lessons
- Use effective behaviour management strategies to support a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with the Classroom Teaching Assistant (TA) to tailor lessons for individual learning needs
- Differentiate learning materials to meet the diverse needs of the pupils
- Attend and contribute to weekly staff meetings and school-wide initiatives
Requirements:
- Must hold UK-recognised QTS
- Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
- A positive, creative, and ambitious approach to teaching
- A commitment to upholding the school's ethos and values
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, children, and external agencies
- Available for full-time work from October 2024 for the full academic year
