Academics is currently looking for a Classroom Assistant to join a fantastic Primary School in Croydon!

The Role: Classroom Assistant - Croydon

As a Classroom Assistant, you will provide essential support to the class teacher and help create an engaging, nurturing, and safe environment for children. You will work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, supporting their educational and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities: Classroom Assistant - Croydon

  • Assisting the class teacher with the preparation and delivery of lessons.
  • Supporting students in their learning, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Helping to create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour.
  • Supporting children with their social and emotional development.
  • Working with pupils with additional needs, including those with ASD and other learning difficulties.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks and preparing classroom resources as required.
  • Ability to Commute to Croydon

About You:

We are looking for someone who is passionate about working with children and who can make a real difference to their learning experience.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children in a school or childcare setting (desired but not essential).
  • Patience, empathy, and a caring nature.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage small groups of students and maintain focus.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to the needs of the school and students.
