This lovely school in Croydon is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join the team as a Specialist in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH). This challenging yet rewarding role involves working closely with secondary school students who have Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and/or SEMH.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with EBD and SEMH.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create personalized plans for student success.
  • Provide one-on-one and group support to address specific emotional and behavioural needs.
  • Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies to promote a positive school culture.

Requirements:

  • A genuine passion for supporting the social, emotional, and mental well-being of students.
  • Experience working with secondary school students with EBD and SEMH.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement targeted interventions.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in SEMH support.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or certification in psychology, counselling, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role within an educational setting is desirable.
