A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a specialist Homeless Prevention Manager to join one of Adecco's leading local authority clients in a permanent assignment, paying between 58,692- 60,819 per annum.
Working hybridly (3 days in the South London office each week, minimum), this is a full time role for 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm). The successful candidate will be required to strategically manage, develop, organise and coordinate a team of team leaders/ officers providing a full casework service for customers in housing need, preventing homelessness wherever possible, and carrying out timely and robust accommodation needs and homelessness assessments where necessary ensuring that that the service meets all legislative requirements.
You will act as the service's lead manager on special projects relating to homelessness prevention and/or the assessment and application of the Council's duties under homelessness legislation. This role is about developing and improving the Prevention and Assessment service and the relationship with residents, assessing service delivery from the customers perspective, identifying improvement areas, and addressing gaps.
Other key elements of the role include:
* Setting, managing, maintaining and exceeding performance targets of the team in order to provide a quality front line service, assessment and advice service to meet the Authority's requirements in terms of homelessness and allocations.
* Leading and implementing the key priorities set by the Council within housing options.
* Ensuring the Authority's statutory duties under housing and homelessness legislation (Housing Act 1996, Homelessness Act 2002, Localism Act 2011 and HRA 2017) are correctly determined and administered including homelessness decision making.
* Implementing and developing effective systems for monitoring and reporting customer satisfaction and service performance
* Leading and managing projects as appropriate
* Lead and being responsible for an effective prevention and homelessness service working collaboratively with internal and external with stakeholders
* Ensuring representation of the Housing Options Service at relevant meetings such as MAPPA, MARAC, CSE, Children's Services and to develop strategic agreements with such agencies.
