Finance Manager

My client are a Local Authority in South London who are looking to appoint a Finance Manager on an Interim basis.

About the role:

Based in South London (Hybrid):

This post is to support the delivery of transformation program within Adult Social Care. Working with our implementation partner, the work involves validating and challenging savings delivery.

What's on offer:

  • Salary: 600 per day, inside IR35. (*negotiable based on experience)
  • Remote/Hybrid working (2 days in Office pw)
  • Contract type: Contract (28.80 hrs a week)
  • Hours: 09:00 -17:30 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

  1. Production of the year-end financial accounts, the associated close down processes and preparing for and responding to external audit.
  2. Budget setting at the Directorate and overall Council level, including the Council Tax setting cycle and associated Cabinet reports.
  3. Budget monitoring.

About you:
You will have the following experiences:

  1. A CCAB/CIMA accountancy qualification or extensive knowledge and experience of local government finance.
  2. Significant adult social care experience at a similar level.
  3. Experience of advising and challenging senior managers on financial management issues.
