We are seeking a P401 qualified Asbestos Laboratory Analyst in the South East region. Our Client is a UKAS accredited and well-respected name within the Asbestos industry, who are renowned for offering excellent benefits and further training opportunities. Candidates will need to be based in or around: Croydon, Mitcham, Sutton, Epsom, Caterham, Redhill, Purley, Bromley, Orpington, Sidcup, Bexleyheath, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Sevenoaks, Chatham, Romford, Ilford, Grays, Basildon, Enfield, Tilbury, Stanford-le-Hope, Horley, Aylesford, Kingston upon Thames.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold experience working as an Asbestos Laboratory Analyst within a UKAS accredited outfit
- Will have the BOHS P401 qualification
- Experience participating with AIMS and Quality Assurance procedures
- Strong written ability and proficient with IT applications
- Keen eye for detail and organised manner
The Role:
- Undertaking the Bulk Analysis of samples which are suspected Asbestos Containing Materials
- Using PLM and stereo microscopy methods to analyse samples
- Maintaining the laboratory and working areas to a high standard
- Logging and handling samples
- Working in accordance with HSG 248 and UKAS
- Updating internal databases and maintaining accurate records
