A prominent South London local authority is seeking a dedicated Planning Officer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the development of the local area by handling a diverse caseload of planning applications and appeals.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of primarily straightforward planning applications and appeals, spanning a variety of development types.
- Handle a significant number of householder applications as allocated.
- Provide written representations for appeal cases.
- Extensive experience dealing with a wide range of planning applications, including minor developments.
- Proven expertise in providing written representations for appeal cases.
- Comprehensive understanding of Local Authority Planning processes and regulations.
- A minimum of two years of experience in development management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
