Type: Part-Time (AM & PM shifts available)
Hours:
- AM: 9:00 AM to 1:40 PM
- PM: 12:10 PM to 3:30 PM
Days: Monday to Friday
About Us:
Join this dedicated team at a specialized PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) school, where we provide compassionate care and support to children aged 4 to 19 with complex needs. Their mission is to create an inclusive, nurturing environment that empowers each child to thrive.
Role Overview:
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students in their daily activities. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting children with personal care tasks, including feeding, dressing, and hygiene.
- Supporting educational and developmental activities tailored to individual needs.
- Promoting independence and fostering a sense of belonging.
- Collaborating with teachers and therapists to implement personalized care plans.
- Ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a care or educational setting is preferred but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children with PMLD and complex needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to individual requirements.
- Relevant qualifications in care, education, or related fields are a plus.
