Starting immediately, we are seeking an assured EAL Teaching Assistant who can provide dedicated support to a Romanian-speaking student with SEND needs in a mainstream secondary school in Croydon.

- As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will make a direct impact by helping a student overcome language barriers and access their education.

- Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Romanian-speaking student with SEND needs, ensuring they can fully participate in lessons and school activities.
- Assist the student with language acquisition, supporting their transition to speaking and understanding English in the classroom.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to implement strategies that address the students SEND requirements.
- Create and adapt learning resources to help the student with both their EAL and SEND challenges.
- Track and report on the students progress, providing feedback to teachers and the SENCO to ensure their needs are met.
- Fluency in Romanian and English, with a strong understanding of both languages.
- Previous experience in an EAL or SEND support role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A passion for working with children and helping them overcome language and learning barriers.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
