Early Years Teaching Assistant | Infant School | Croydon, South London CR7 | Immediate Start | 90 - 105 per day
Long Term Futures is looking for an interactive, engaged, and outgoing Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a thriving infant school in Croydon, South London. This role involves supporting children up to Year 2, working across both mainstream and SEN settings to ensure all pupils have the best possible start to their education.
The school is looking for a motivated and proactive individual who can create a fun and engaging learning environment, while also providing targeted support for children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to children in Early Years and KS1, helping them develop confidence and key skills
- Work alongside class teachers to deliver engaging lessons and activities
- Support children with SEN on a 1:1 and small group basis, implementing learning strategies
- Encourage interactive and play-based learning, ensuring all students remain engaged
- Assist with classroom organisation, behaviour management, and daily routines
- Work closely with the SENCo and teaching staff to create inclusive learning environments
What We're Looking For:
- Experience working in Early Years or KS1, ideally in a school or nursery setting
- Knowledge of SEN support strategies and experience working with children with additional needs
- A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, and proactive approach to working with young learners
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Additional Information:
- Full-time role, Monday to Friday
- Paid 90 - 105 per day, term time only
- Based in Croydon, South London, with excellent transport links
- Immediate start, with potential for a long-term placement
