Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – ASD Secondary SEN School
Location: Croydon Borough
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay: £110 to £120 per day PAYE 

We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join the team at an amazing ASD Secondary Special Educational Needs (SEN) school located in the Croydon borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) classroom, helping to maintain a structured learning environment.
  • Lead the class independently for one day a week during the teacher's allocated PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and other support staff to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with ASD or within an SEN environment is essential.
  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • A passion for supporting children with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
