Primary HLTA – Croydon

We are seeking a dynamic HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) who can confidently cover classes from Nursery to Year 6, providing effective support across the full primary age range.

Primary HLTA - Key Responsibilities:

Confidently cover classes across the school, working with students from Nursery to Year 6, and ensuring continuity in learning during teacher absences.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons to support the needs of all pupils, adapting your approach to suit different age groups and abilities.
Work closely with class teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support strategies as needed.
Ensure that the school’s high standards of behaviour and learning are maintained in every class you cover.

Primary HLTA - Essential Qualities:

Prior experience as an HLTA or in a similar classroom support role.
Ability to adapt to teaching across the 3-11 age range and work confidently in Nursery to Year 6 classes.
Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to engage students of different ages and abilities.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude, with a commitment to supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
