We are looking for Senior Employee Relations Case Advisor in Croydon to join a fast paced environment for a rewarding role.
You will play an integral role in delivering a comprehensive, high quality and pro- active educational and operational employee relations advisory and support services to managers and staff within the trust.
This role involves close collaboration with the Health team and work closely with the wider HR and external employment lawyers top keep up to date with developments and changes in the law to ensure a professional and safe employee relations service.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic:
  • Establish strong working relationships with managers in assigned directorate teams to support the employee relations and management upskilling requirements within the service.
  • Provide an expert and up to date knowledge to all employees and staff side representatives on HR policies and procedures and employment law processes as applicable and ensuring appropriate signposting and support.
  • Encourage and support robust sickness management strategies with the Case Management Team which supports staffs health and well beingand reduces the time they are off sick and are supported through the process and on their return to work.
  • Work and prepare line managers to attend formal hearings and present their management cases. Support new managers at formal hearings to present their case if and where appropriate.
  • Play a lead role in conjunction with HR Business Partners on consultation and restructuring processes including advice regarding redundancy.
  • To work as a member of job evaluation panels with staff side representatives to ensure an efficient and consistent job evaluation process.
  • To participate in the authoring, updating and revision of HR Policies, guidance and document templates as requested.

General HR Support:
  • Provide general advice on Agenda for Change terms and conditions, and employment policies, referring complex queries to Senior ER Advisors or HR Business Partners.
  • Assist Senior ER Advisors and HR Business Partners with minute-taking, hearing pack preparation, and responding to general HR queries.
  • Direct staff and managers to appropriate policies and template letters.
  • Support the collation of Freedom of Informationrequests, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Handle general inquiries and ensure accurate correspondence and message relay.
  • Run reports and analyse complex data, presenting findings to senior leaders to identify potential interventions.
Training:
  • Assist in delivering training sessions for managers on HR policies.
  • Provide one-on-one support to managers on procedures and policies.
Finance/Payroll:
  • Submit monthly reports to the payroll liaison team to minimiseincorrect overpayments and monitor long-term sickness cases.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of information to e-rostering and work with managers to maintain payroll accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience in an HR advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage complex and sensitive cases with compassion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR software and data analysis.
  • Experince in managing teams
