The successful will be responsible for the commissioning, management and development of service contracts to ensure delivery of the business plan objectives of Croydon Affordable Homes and other relevant vehicles as well as support the Strategic Service Manager to ensure effective property management for the LLP. You will undertake a strategic and commercial approach working closely with tenants, the landlord and all contractors.
This will involve:
* Identification and review of services required to deliver the business plan objectives (including: contract, legal and financial obligations) of the Croydon Affordable Housing companies.
* Specification and commissioning of internal and external services, including soft-market testing and tendering of service contracts
* Understand and champion the council's new approach to contract management specifically in terms of its strategic and commercial elements.
* Negotiation of commercial and contract terms for service contracts, including key performance indicators and benchmarking.
* Ensure a clear programme plan is in place collating all contract areas.
* Contract and performance management of service contracts, including preparation and presentation of monitoring reports to Croydon Affordable Homes Board.
* Provide strategic and commercial challenge in relation to commissioning plans ensuring the contract management is considered appropriately for all new contracts.
* Work with contract managers to embed new systems and processes into business as usual where required.

* Experience of being part of an agile, high performing team that achieve results.
* Experience of delivery savings against contract delivery.
* Track record of creativity and innovation, applying strong analytical skills and lateral thinking to develop service solutions.
* Experience of working on complex programmes.
* Experience of engaging with services to manage change and deliver the strategic priorities of an organisation/partnership.
