Are you passionate about creating a safer, more sustainable future? We are looking for an inspiring Head of Health, Safety, and Compliance to take the lead in shaping our company's health, safety, and environmental strategy.

In this high-impact role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive a culture shift from compliance-based practices to a forward-thinking, safety-first environment. Initially focused on Health & Safety, the role will evolve to include sustainability and environmental compliance, offering exciting growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the HSE strategy, ensuring it aligns with the overall business vision.
  • Act as a member of the leadership team, providing clear goals while fostering a collaborative, team-driven approach.
  • Conduct gap analyses, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous enhancements to all HSE practices.
  • Challenge and refine existing policies and procedures, encouraging innovation and best practices.
  • Work closely with management at all levels to ensure that HSE standards are fully understood and followed.
  • Draft and update policies to stay compliant with changing legislation.
  • Ensure legal compliance across all business activities and key client contracts.
  • Collaborate with field teams and audit departments to ensure smooth compliance processes.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for workers across various workstreams to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Manage and monitor fleet safety, striving to reduce incident rates.
  • Maintain all safety documentation, conducting annual reviews, and managing version control.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Health and Safety or similar qualification.
  • CMIOSH or working towards this accreditation.
  • Experience as a Lead Auditor for ISO 45001, ISO 14001, or ISO 9001, with hands-on internal auditing experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently, and adaptable to flexible working hours.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business.
Package:
  • 8 hour shift Pattern: 8am 5pm Monday Friday (1 hour break)
