Maintenance Engineer job in the manufacturing plant Maintenance Engineer team. The Maintenance Engineer will work perform equipment monitoring and hands on maintenance on factory manufacturing equipment factory includes industrial and manufacturing steam plant and pressure systems, compressors, conveyors, industrial gears, manufacturing motors and also some specialist equipment which you get training for. This job will suit a Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician with experience in a manufacturing work-place and an NVQ3 or above in technician or engineering.
- £50,000 to £53,000 salary plus pension.
- Continental shift pattern. 12 hr shifts. 24 7 coverage. Shifts pattern is roughly: Days: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 3 off, then the same pattern for nights.
- Well invested site with good quality equipment. Youre NOT joining a business with broken kit.
- The department is fully staffed with a team of eight Maintenance Technicians.
- They are on-plan with planned preventative, and this is a well run ship.
A good Maintenance Engineer or Maintenance Technician background could include working in industrial manufacturing, food processing, FMCG manufacturing or similar production engineering and manufacturing work places. This is a physically active maintenance technician job involving sometimes climbing ladders, confined space maintenance work or maintenance in dusty dirty areas and or hot areas like the plant boiler room.
