Production Engineer
Annual Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Location: Croydon
Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
We are seeking a Production Engineer to play a key role in supporting our client’s business by transforming customer requirements into detailed instructions for product repair and overhaul. This position is essential for the development of processes and tools that ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality products.
Day to day of the Production Engineer role:
- Serve as a key technical point of contact for all production-related issues.
- Focus on production issues, specifically the overhaul or repair of products:
- Create and update Overhaul Instructions and Work Instructions.
- Develop Technical Job Packs to document tasks and decisions for each job.
- Design and optimise tooling and procedures for strip down, cleaning, painting, and assembly tasks.
- Design test equipment interfaces and write test specifications.
- Perform other production-related functions and vibration analysis as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent qualifications with significant practical experience.
- Experience in overhaul and repair is highly desirable.
- Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office suite, with strong technical documentation skills.
- Fluent in technical and conversational English.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
