Food Packaging Production Manager

Our client, based in Croydon, are a leading food packaging company that are pioneers in manufacturing sustainable and biodegradable packaging, putting emphasis on their green values. They are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Production Manager to join their growing team.
The perfect candidate will be responsible for assisting the Operations Manager with all aspects of the production process.
The Role:
- Lead and motivate the production teams
- Work with the Operations Manager to develop and implement production plans
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce downtime and waste
- Manage production resources effectively
- Monitor production data and generate reports to identify areas for improvement
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety and BRC regulations
- Ensure correct tooling is at machines and staff have what they need to operate
- Holiday cover for Operations Manager.
The Candidate:
- Proven experience in leadership within a production environment
- Experience within the packaging industry (desirable)
- Proven track record of motivating and leading teams
- Proactive in regard to action and an enthusiasm for continuous improvement
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication, emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
