Job Description:

We are seeking an experiencedM&E Commissioning Managerto oversee the commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems for a data centre project in Croydon. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a high-profile project, ensuring all systems are installed, tested, and handed over to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the commissioning process for all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and plumbing.
• Oversee testing, validation, and integration of critical systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and operational requirements.
• Prepare and maintain commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures.
• Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless system performance.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing effective resolutions to maintain project timelines.
• Ensure all documentation, including test certificates, operational manuals, and commissioning records, is accurate and complete.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor installation quality and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure critical systems, such as backup power, cooling, and security, are commissioned to meet the specific requirements of a data centre environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an M&E Commissioning Manager within the data centre environment
• Strong knowledge of commissioning mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and fire protection.
• Relevant qualifications/accreditations, such as:
• CSCS Manager Card
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• HV/LV Authorisation (desirable)
• Degree or HND/HNC in Building Services or similar field (preferred)
• Excellent understanding of commissioning procedures, testing protocols, and compliance standards.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills with a focus on detail.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain effective communication.
