Title Air Conditioning Service and Maintenance Engineer
Reports to Service Coordinators, Project managers and Directors
Location Works remotely
Hours: 8am - 5pm - Some hours outside of this will be required
Call out rota approx 1 in 6
Extra for Travel Time dependant on hours
Overview of the Role:
Purpose of the role is to join a team of mechanical and electrical engineers and work as a senior gas engineer and plumber, supporting the team as required in a niche market, ensuring an elite level of engineering.

Key Responsibilities:
Essential:
- Service and maintenance of air conditioning systems
- Fault diagnostics of AC and refrigeration circuits
- Experience of refrigeration diagnostics and repairs essential
- Willingness or ability to multi-trade during quieter periods
- Work is targeted in Greater London and surrounding suburbs
- Must have a clean UK driving license
- Be flexible to work overtime when needed and work the call-out rota as and when implemented
- Ability to operate a laptop and mobile work report application
Advantage (NOT Essential)
- AC installation experience and willingness
- 18th Edition Electrical
- Certification or
- Any major manufacturer qualifications (Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Panasonic, LG, Carrier)
Experience:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work well in a team or driven enough to work alone
- More than 8 years experience
Qualification Requirements:
- City & Guilds in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, FGAS 2079
- Air conditioning and refrigeration - NVQ Level 3
- GCSE Grade 5 (C) or above in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
Scope, scale, and authority of the role
- This is a senior engineering role which is flexible around the priorities of the day-to-day operation and subject to changes, working alone or as part of a team.
- Ability and willingness to mentor and train apprentices and intermediate engineers.
- A willingness and ability to survey jobs and generate quotes and support the service division leadership team with organising schedules, booking jobs and communicating with customers.
About you
- Strong organisational skills - able to log and interpret data in support of engineers as needed
- Capable of using software on mobile devices, interpreting works and documentation for office use, and documenting to learn new skills
- Proficient with computers
- Flexible and multi-tasking, happy to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
- In case of an out-of-hours call out, you'd need a can-do attitude
