Are you an experienced Technical Manager with a strong background in multi-unit residential developments? We're seeking a driven and detail-oriented individual to join a leading construction and development firm based in South London.
The Role
As Technical Manager, you'll be responsible for managing the design and technical delivery of multi-unit residential projects from planning through to completion. You'll liaise with consultants, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure all technical aspects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities
Lead technical coordination and manage design information from planning through to construction.
Review drawings and ensure compliance with regulations, codes, and company standards.
Collaborate with land, planning, commercial, and construction teams.
Oversee the appointment and management of external consultants.
Manage technical submissions for planning, building control, and warranties (e.g., NHBC).
Drive value engineering and buildability into design stages.
Attend site meetings and provide ongoing support to project teams.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar Technical Manager role within residential construction.
Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning processes, and construction methods.
Background in delivering multi-unit residential schemes, preferably for a developer or main contractor.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Relevant qualifications in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
