About the Role: Aspiring Clinical Psychologist - Croydon
Are you an aspiring Clinical Psychologist eager to gain valuable hands-on experience working with children in a school setting? A wonderful Primary School in Croydon is looking for a learning support assistant to join their Mainstream Primary School to help nurture Children in KS1 & KS2 with additional needs such as ADHD and ASD.

Key Responsibilities: Aspiring Clinical Psychologist - Croydon

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for children with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral challenges.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Observe and record children's behavior, progress, and emotional development, offering insights that contribute to interventions and care plans.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator), and other staff members to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support children during lessons, helping to modify tasks and provide additional resources where needed.
  • Assist in delivering small-group interventions, focusing on social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Participate in team meetings, contributing to discussions around student progress and strategies for improvement.
