About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be the Number 1 on an 80m+ project at Clapham Common station which consists of a part built 4 block residential building and commercial development. This project has over 20m of change so they are looking for a strong Senior who is ready to join the project ASAP whilst it is still in procurement. You will also be working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor who have a turnover of over 1bn and constantly have interesting projects due to them winning the majority of projects in London. They are dominating the London construction market and have a proven track record of progressing staff through the ranks. This is a full time site based position.
Key Responsibilities of Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Handling both the upstream and downstream process
- Regularly updating the financial forecast, identifying any potential risks and providing solutions
- Monitor costs throughout the projects life-cycle to ensure it stays within budget
- Solve any contractual disputes that arise during the project
Key Requirements of Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Degree in a construction related subject
- Capable Commercial No 1 on projects over 50m at a Main Contractor
- Experience managing high levels of change and variations
- You will have strong negotiation and communication skills, be organised and have high attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing change and variations
