Our client, a reputable removals firm based in Surrey, is seeking a dependable and professional Luggage and Box Shipping Driver to join their team. This role focuses on the collection and delivery of boxes and luggage for customers relocating, ensuring a smooth and efficient shipping process.
As a Driver, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while safely transporting items and maintaining accurate records.
As this role is on the road, you can be located anywhere within the M25 area, as the Van will be insured to take home. The main depot is in Surrey, your routes and working day will be diarised for you to ensure time efficiency dependent on pick ups and drop offs each day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collecting and delivering luggage and boxes, weighing up to 25kg, from customers within the M25 area.
- Using the in-house scanning system to track all items during collection, delivery, and at the warehouse.
- Liaising with customers and the office team to manage schedules and provide updates throughout the day.
- Returning collected items to the relevant depot for processing.
- Operating independently while on the road, with support from the office-based team as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid UK driving licence (required).
- Ability to lift and handle packages up to 25kg.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Basic familiarity with technology (scanning systems and communication tools).
