We are seeking a Deputy Catering Manager for a local hospital, a pivotal position ensuring the delivery of high-quality, hygienic, and efficient catering services.

As Deputy Catering Manager, you will support the Catering Manager in overseeing the preparation, production, and service of diverse food options. You’ll manage a team dedicated to providing excellent culinary experiences during hospital stays and visits. This role offers the unique opportunity to blend culinary management with patient care, ensuring all dietary needs are met with precision and empathy.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Manage and improve catering processes in line with food hygiene and health & safety legislation.
  • Maintain meticulous records for compliance with Food Hygiene Regulations.
  • Oversee budgeting, costing, and service delivery to ensure efficient operation.
  • Develop and adapt menus based on patient and staff feedback, ensuring nutritional standards and satisfaction.
  • Lead and inspire a team of catering professionals, fostering an environment of growth and excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience: Proven management experience in a catering or hospitality environment.
  • Certifications: Level 3 or above Food Safety Trained
  • Knowledge: Good knowledge of HACCP regulations
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility: Flexible work pattern (any 5 of 7) if and when required, normal working days Mon to Friday
