About the Role:

Are you a passionate and dynamic teacher with a deep understanding of Business and Economics? Do you have the ability to inspire and challenge students to excel in these critical subjects? We are seeking an enthusiastic Business and Economics Teacher to join our innovative secondary school in Croydon.

As a key member of our teaching team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students from Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5, ensuring they develop a solid understanding of key concepts and are well-prepared for GCSE and A-Level examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the Business Studies and Economics curriculum to students at KS4 and KS5 levels.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and debate.
  • Prepare students for GCSEs and A-Levels, providing them with the skills they need to excel in examinations.
  • Support the personal and academic development of students, promoting a passion for Business and Economics.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency of teaching standards and share best practices.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in the Business and Economics curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Business Studies and Economics at KS4 and KS5.
  • A strong understanding of the current curriculum and exam specifications.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting the progress of all learners.

Desirable:

  • Experience or interest in leading extra-curricular business-related activities (e.g., Business Clubs, Young Enterprise).
