History Teacher – Secondary School (South West London)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic History Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in South West London. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or a committed ECT to make a real impact on students’ learning and historical understanding.
The Role:
- Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach KS5
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that encourage critical thinking and debate
- Plan and assess effectively to ensure excellent student progress
- Use creative teaching methods to bring history to life, making connections between the past and present
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities, trips, and history-related events
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching History at secondary school level
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- A passion for developing historical curiosity and analytical thinking in students
