Main Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead and improve the teaching and learning practices of the English Faculty.
  • Support and mentor teachers to deliver outstanding lessons and achieve high standards.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and review standards of teaching and learning across the department.
  • Contribute actively to the formulation and implementation of school policies.
  • Ensure the highest standards of behaviour, curriculum delivery, and academic achievement.
  • Participate in school duties during lunch, break, and before/after the school day.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching practice and behaviour management.
  • Experience with lesson observations, feedback, and improvement planning.
  • Proven record of success in raising student achievement at KS3, KS4, and ideally KS5.
  • Ability to contribute to the quality of learning, teaching, and curriculum.
