We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary academy. This role is integral to our Special Educational Needs Team, where you will be instrumental in supporting students to overcome learning barriers and achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Provide tailored support to individual pupils or targeted groups to address learning barriers and foster academic and personal growth.
  • Assist in the delivery of learning activities under the direction of teachers, ensuring full integration and progress of pupils in class activities.
  • Implement specific programmes and activities to support pupilsā€™ individual learning and social needs.
  • Collaborate with class teachers and the SENDCo to implement and regularly review targets on pupilsā€™ Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • A passion for supporting learning and building supportive relationships with students.
  • Patience and the ability to use initiative when working with students.
  • Experience working with pupils with additional needs is beneficial, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly with pupils who have communication difficulties, dyslexia, or autism.
