Supporting the pupil in moments of dysregulation, guiding them back to a calm state where they can re-engage with learning.
Maintaining patience and resilience in challenging situations to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

1:1 Autism Support Assistant | Essential Qualities:

Resilience, perseverance, and a never-give-up attitude are critical for this role.
Prior experience working with non-verbal children and a strong understanding of how to support children with Autism.
The ability to stay calm and help dysregulated children refocus and engage with their learning again.
