A Learning Support Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School & Sixth Form in South London.
This will be a full time, long term Learning Support Assistant post.
Working hours at the school for a Learning Support Assistant are 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities for this Learning Support Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
- Supporting identified students in 1:1, group or whole class situations
- Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
- Leading small group sessions and interventions
- Attending to students' personal needs when required
- Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
- Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between 90 to 100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.

Requirements
Applications are welcome if you are a recent Graduate or experienced Learning Support Assistant.
You are also welcome to apply if you are a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Learning Support Assistant:
- Right to work in the UK
- Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
- UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
- Experience of working with children/young people from the ages of 11 to 18 or as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
