We are looking to recruit a Social Worker in Croydon for the Mental health Team . The successful candidate will be working in a well-structured, organised team who are growing their social worker staffing levels.

The responsibilities of the Social Worker includes:

  • A comprehensive knowledge of the main aspects of the Children Act 1989 and Children (Leaving Care) Act 2000 that are relevant to the young people whom the service works with.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the needs of children and young people Leaving Care; the ability to work effectively with them and
  • involve them in decision making.
  • Knowledge of the process for accessing care and support (for those who may meet the criteria) under the Care Act 2014.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding children's duties under the Children Act 1989 and safeguarding adult duties under the Care Act 2014.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and information sharing.

To ideal candidate will have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Social Work qualified (MA/BSc/DipSW/CQSW/MSc/BA)
