Description

We are looking for a candidate who has experience with planning application processes, validation, CIL, digitisation, and customer service. The postholder will play a pivotal role in leading a team that is undergoing an exciting transformation process. The successful candidate will be instrumental in guiding the team through this change, fostering a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and motivating the technical support team to achieve service objectives during a period of transformation.
  • Overseeing the implementation of modernised processes and ensuring their successful adoption.
  • Monitoring team performance, providing coaching and training to support professional development.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate resolution of technical issues or requests in line with council policies.
  • Collaborating with other departments to enhance service delivery and drive innovation.
  • Maintaining accurate records and producing reports to inform decision-making and track progress.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage change effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in technical support or a related field is essential, alongside excellent communication, organisational, and people management abilities.
