What makes the perfect Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant?

  • A proven track record of working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with autism and EHCPs
  • Extensive experience supporting autistic children in an educational setting (essential)
  • A compassionate, patient, and adaptable nature, with excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and confidently manage one-on-one and group learning sessions
  • Training in SEN support highly preferred

What would a day in the life of an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant look like?

  • Provide one-on-one and group support for Key Stage 2 children with specific educational needs
  • Implement strategies to help students with autism and other learning challenges access the curriculum effectively
  • Collaborate closely with the class teacher to develop individualized learning plans and tailored support strategies
  • Manage challenging behaviours and ensure students feel supported, safe, and included in classroom activities
  • Utilise your experience to offer both pastoral and academic support across multiple subjects
  • Be a key part of a supportive team dedicated to enhancing the learning experience for SEN children

Salary and Benefits:

  • As an Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Earn £500-560 per week
  • Full-time position, Monday-Friday (35 hours per week)
