This is a popular 2 form entry mainstream primary school who are dedicated to nurturing and supporting children with mixed abilities, including communication and interaction difficulties, and cognitive disorders.

The ideal candidate should be confident supporting pupils with ASD and have relevant classroom experience.

The role entails:

  • Working 1:1 with an autistic pupil in KS1 or KS2
  • Creating and leading intervention sessions for SEN groups
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Follow pupils' targets in line with their EHCP
  • Monitor pupils' progress

Requirements:

  • Experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant
  • Good understanding of supporting children with autism
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
  • You must have the legal right to work in the UK
