We are looking for a committed and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in Bexley. As an HLTA, you will play a crucial role in supporting the teaching and learning process, working closely with teachers to enhance the educational experience for all students.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, providing support to the classroom teacher.
  • Lead small group sessions and interventions to support students' learning.
  • Cover classes in the absence of the teacher, ensuring continuity of education.
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a primary or secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and educational best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
