Role Overview

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to deliver personalised support to students with diverse educational needs. Your role will include assisting in the classroom, providing one-on-one and small group support, and helping to cultivate a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Support:

    • Provide individual or small group assistance to support students' academic and social development.
    • Encourage independent learning and resilience through structured activities and tailored guidance.
    • Create a nurturing environment that builds students' confidence and self-esteem.
  • Classroom Assistance:

    • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the unique needs of our students.
    • Help maintain an organised, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
    • Monitor and report on student progress to the teaching team.
  • Additional Responsibilities:

    • Support students during transitions, breaks, and school activities.
    • Participate in staff meetings and ongoing professional development.
    • Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
