Future Education has a new exciting position that we are recruiting for as a SEN Teaching Assistant for a special educational needs school located within the area of Croydon.

 

The specific school that we are recruiting a SEN TA for caters for Secondary SEN children with Autism and Severe Learning Difficulties.

SEN TA Job Duties

 

  • Support students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in adapting learning materials and resources to meet individual learning styles.
  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils during lessons, helping them to focus and engage in their learning.
  • Encourage positive social interaction and help with developing communication and life skills.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and classroom teachers.

 

SEN TA Job Specification

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a classroom or care setting, is desirable but not essential.
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach with a genuine passion for helping children with SEN succeed.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and a proactive attitude in addressing individual student needs.
  • Minimum GCSE qualifications (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
