Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to students with Autism, ensuring their educational, social, and developmental needs are met.
- Work closely with the educational team to implement individual learning plans.
- Assist in the development of social skills and independence in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Engage with students through interactive and sensory activities that promote learning and retention.
- Provide personal care assistance as needed, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Monitor and report on the progress of students, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, particularly with Autism.
- Experience in providing 1:1 support and personal care to students.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient and resilient approach to working with children.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs education are preferred.
