SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Summer term roles as well as roles 1 year +
  • Up to £120 per day, depending on experience

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to join our team to support schools across Croydon and the surrounding areas.

These role could be short term day to day, covering the whole Summer term or longer term contracts also.

We are seeking someone who has a passion for supporting SEN children and their ability to support pupils in both 1:1 and group settings.

Day to day you will be:

  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment
  • Build positive relationships with the child
  • Supporting to explain and complete tasks
  • Communicating with parents
  • Promoting the general wellbeing of the children
  • Observe and assess the pupils progress and be able to report back to the classroom teacher and parents

We are looking for someone with:

  • Prior experience working with Primary age children in a education setting
  • Prior experiene working with SEN / SEMH pupils
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A brilliant team player
  • A genuine passion for working with children
  • A positive, can-do attitude
