We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SENCO Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive educational institution. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to fostering an environment where every child can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Assist the SENCO in identifying and assessing students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN.
  • Liaise with teachers, parents, and external agencies to coordinate support for students.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to SEN provision.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of training sessions for staff on SEN issues.
  • Support the SENCO in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of SEN provision.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and the well-being of all students.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
