We're looking for an eager SEN Teaching Assistant who has a proven track record of working with students with Autism. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only compassionate and patient but also has hands-on experience in personal care. If you have experience in a 1:1 setting, we would love to hear from you. This role is perfect for someone who is dedicated to making a positive impact and supporting the unique needs of each student.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Provide tailored support to students with Autism, ensuring their educational and personal needs are met in a respectful and effective manner.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work closely with teachers and other educational staff to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Perform personal care duties as required, maintaining the dignity and independence of students.
  • Utilise specialised techniques to manage and support students' learning experiences.
  • Monitor and support the student’s emotional and behavioural needs, implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with individuals with Autism.
  • Experience in personal care and a 1:1 educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by students with Autism.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and resilient approach to student support.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or special needs education preferred.
