We are currently seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Tutors to join our team in Croydon. If you are an experienced tutor with a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), we want to hear from you! We offer a competitive rate of 25-35ph!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group tuition for students with a range of Special Educational Needs, including but not limited to, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, and more.
  • Tailor lessons to meet the individual learning needs and abilities of each student.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, adapting teaching methods and materials to ensure student progress.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents, carers, and school staff.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of student progress and achievements.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, encouraging their confidence and self-esteem.

Requirements:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to making a difference in student's lives.
  • A clear enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one
  • Experience working within a school or tutoring environment - desirable
  • Specific training or qualifications related to SEN, such as TEACCH, Makaton, or Autism Awareness - desirable
